This is what businesses face — the unexpected comes with high hazards.

Gresham Police (photo) reported a vehicle crashing into a commercial business.  Likely it was due to medical issues.   The damage, as can be seen, was severe.   Such an accident, at no fault of the shop owner, will likely come with high costs and insurance rate increases.

This is where small businesses need to have cash reserves or healthy cash flow to respond to emergency situations.  Yet, Oregon politicians continue to raise the cost of businesses in the Portland area.  Government is taking the money small businesses need for emergencies.

Just weeks ago there was a massive propane explosion that damaged a half dozen food carts and shops.

Weeks before that, there was an explosion at a Portland balloon shop.
