Kotek gas pipeline emergency comes at bad time

This week Oregon Governor Tina Kotek declared an emergency over the Olympia Pipeline disruption.  This is the second disruption in just three months.   Since the emergency the pipeline has partially been repaired.  There is a risk that if not fully repaired it may cause gas prices to spike.

Oregon already has the nation’s 4th highest gas price.  This comes as Kotek just signed a $4.3 billion gas tax/wage tax increase.  There is a referendum petition drive (Senator Starr, Rep. Diehl, Jason Williams Taxpayers Association) to challenge this tax increase.

Please turn completed petitions into your local Petition County Captain, or to Taxpayers Association PO Box 23573, Tigard, OR, 97281.
