“Tent City” Tina Kotek has already proved she’s incapable of solving the state’s biggest problems of housing, drug addiction and homelessness…or even managing the state’s 140-billion dollar budget well enough to keep the snow plowed and roads repaired.

Now, she claims to have a plan to re-invigorate a lackluster economy with…wait for it…more government.

She plans to hire, I kid you not, a “chief prosperity officer”.

Anyone with a room temp IQ can see the real problem with the economy.

Big government and high taxes.

Oregon’s income tax ranks 6th highest in America…

Portland’s marginal tax rate is 2nd highest in America

Public schools suck wind and kids graduate without being able to read or write or do math. Big companies are fleeing and jobs are disappearing.

But Kotek’s coming up fast on re-election, facing some solid opponents, and fresh off a massive multi billion dollar transportation tax hike so bad opponents gathered the signatures necessary to repeal it in less than a week.

So, announce a few committees, release a powerpoint, hire another bureaucrat and see how much time you can buy. Kotek knows well how to rearrange the deck chairs…she just doesn’t know how to keep the ship from sinking.
