World Cup fans (part 12). Town love-bombs Algerians

For the World Cup games, the Algerian team practiced at Kansas University.  The college band learned their national anthem and played it for them while wearing their team scarfs.   The town rallied behind their Algerian guests by posting Algerian welcome signs on lampposts and at McDonald’s drive-thrus.   The Algerian coach said he felt goosebumps from the kindness.
