Rep. Elmer: Help needed on charity logo

House Republican Leader Lucetta Elmer Asks Public to Help Design Adoption Day Logo

Oregon State Representative and House GOP Leader

SALEM, Ore. — House Republican Leader Lucetta Elmer (R-McMinnville) championed HB 2019 in the 2025 legislative session, which commemorates August 25th as Oregon Adoption Day — a day to recognize, honor, and celebrate adoption in all its forms. An adoptee herself, Rep. Elmer advocated tirelessly to commemorate all those impacted by adoption.

To commemorate this new statewide celebration, Leader Elmer is inviting Oregonians with a personal connection to adoption to help create the official Oregon Adoption Day logo.

“When I sponsored Oregon Adoption Day, I wanted it to be more than just another date on the calendar. I wanted it to be something people across our state could be proud of. That’s why I’m excited to invite Oregonians with a connection to adoption to help create a logo that reflects the stories, families, and hope that adoption represents,” said Leader Elmer.

The contest is open to Oregon residents with a personal connection to adoption, including adoptees and adoptive parents. The winning design will be the official Oregon Adoption Day logo, helping create a lasting symbol that celebrates adoption across our state for generations to come.
