County bucks state, revokes sanctuary status

Douglas County this week voted unanimously on a resolution that the county is not a sanctuary jurisdiction.  This runs counter to the state of Oregon in which state law has designated the state and all local governments as a sanctuary state for illegal migrants and therefore they cannot coordinate or work with federal immigration authorities.   It was mentioned that the state is in violation of federal rules.

Much will be determined on what steps that Douglas County will take to implement the resolution.  Read more here.

Liberals criticizes ICE for their traffic stops and aggressive arrests, yet this happens because ICE is not allowed to pick-up illegal migrants who are in jail.  This is because local authorities are blocked from notifying them when an illegal migrant has committed a crime and is in their custody.   This makes no sense whatsoever.
