Rome (Fiscally) Burns: Abortion Debate, Food Next?

Democratic Senator Ben Nelson is not supporting that chamber’s health care bill due to its abortion provisions. This situation is indicative of what’s to come should the legislative dam break on ObamaCare. The landscape will be flooded with continued — but deeper — politician and bureaucratic meddling in far-less controversial personal health care decisions. Further, Congress can be expected to get mired in minutiae. Witness Canada, where the government gets involved in how hospital food is served. U.S. state, local and national government debt is drowning us and generations to come. ObamaCare would pull us down further. No worry, Congress will know how to tackle the big issues, such as what food hospitals should serve.

The food I get when I am in the hospital is very important to me. I am glad they are on my side.
