Rep. Sprenger selected as House Deputy GOP Whip

SALEM— House Republican Leader Mike McLane (R-Powell Butte) has selected Rep. Sherrie Sprenger (R-Scio) to the House Republican leadership team as Deputy Republican Whip. In her new role, Rep. Sprenger will help leadership advance the caucus’ legislative priorities and agenda.

“Rep. Sprenger has developed a breadth of knowledge and leadership experience both inside the Legislature and in her district,” Rep. McLane said. “That experience is a valuable addition to the House Republican leadership team.”

Rep. Sprenger has been a member of the Oregon Legislature since 2008. During the current session, she is vice chair of the Education Committee and a member of the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Education.

“I am looking forward to assisting Rep. McLane and the House Republican caucus with implementing an agenda that helps create jobs for Oregonians, funds education adequately, and institutes important government reforms,” Rep. Sprenger said. “I am also excited for the opportunity this leadership position gives me to provide an even stronger voice for the concerns of my district.”

Rep. Sherrie Sprenger represents House District 17 which includes East Linn and Marion counties.
