“Defend Liberty” youth event — Eugene 5/25

Defend Liberty! Youth Conference –
Saturday. May 25, Eugene

Liberty activists of all ages are encouraged to attend the Youth Conference on May 25 in Eugene. The Conference will strengthen the growing campus network of liberty-minded students and connect them with key Oregon organizations. Students should promptly apply for a Registration Scholarship (deadline: May 17), which makes them eligible for travel and lodging assistance.
Non-students will have the opportunity to engage with and support young activists who embrace freedom and limited government. Participants who belong to organizations that want more youth involvement will have a chance to advance that goal.Western Liberty Network is the event organizer. Sponsoring organizations include Young Americans for Liberty, Cascade Policy Institute, Freedom Foundation and Taxpayer Association of Oregon.

REACH AND INVOLVE YOUNG ACTIVISTS
On Saturday, May 25, you have the opportunity to offer support and advice to young activists who believe in limited government. Those who belong to groups that want more youth involvement will have the opportunity to advance that goal.

Attend or sponsor the Western Liberty Network’s 2013 Youth Conference, “Passing the Torch,” May 25 at the River Valley Inn, located in Eugene.

There will be 18 training sessions and three panel discussions during the one-day event organized along three tracks:

1. Attracting and Retaining Youth Involvement in Local Groups and Activities
2. Preparing Youth to Seek and Win Local Public Office NOW
3. Helping Youth to Organize and have impact on their School Campus

Young Americans for Liberty, Cascade Policy Institute, Freedom Foundation, and Oregon Capitol Watch are joining WLN in sponsoring this event, featuring fourteen trainers and presenters. The night before the conference there will be a party. This is going to be a fun, informative, and inspiring day for everyone. For a flier with all event details, click here.
Tickets are only $50 and include a hot breakfast, hot lunch, training packet, badge, and admission to all events.

Register now at WesternLibertyNetwork.org. Students who need financial assistance can apply for scholarships on the same website. High school, college, home school, charter school, and on-line charter school students are all eligible.
