This week U.S. Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) defended a one-year delay in a crucial Obamacare mandate, saying “It is better to do this right than fast.” Good for Sen. Reid! It is good to see that Sen. Reid has learned from his mistakes and now agrees that it’s important to think before acting.

It’s been a tough journey for the Senator. It began back in 2009 with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid working with then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to ram Obamacare through Congress. Back then they were in such a hurry that Nancy Pelosi said “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what’s in it….” and Harry Reid, who was ramrodding Obamacare through the Senate side, compared opponents of Obamacare to opponents of emancipation because they dared to try to slow down the rushed Obamacare legislation.

Along the way, Sen. Reid has even agreed with fellow Democratic Sen. Max Baucus that Obamacare has the potential to be a “train wreck,” if not implemented properly.
