Thousands of people attended the Franklin Graham prayer rally at Noon at the Capitol in Salem today. The rally was part of Franklin Graham’s Decision America Tour 2016 that’s going to all 50 states.

Security at the event estimated a crowd of 4,000 to 5,000.

Graham’s tour is “urging Christians to vote, to live out their faith in every part of their lives, and to pray for our nation.”

During his talk in Salem, Graham also called on Christians to become active in public life through registering to vote, voting and also possibly running for office – including at the local level.

UPDATE: Here’s a link to the Salem Statesman Journal article on the rally, with the headline ‘Thousands gather at Capitol for Franklin Graham’. They have a good 360-view video of the crowd.

PS: I wonder how many of these self-proclaimed Christians were in favor of the Iraq War?

PPS: Franklin Graham supported the invasion of Iraq. It would be fun to watch his god ask him to account for the few hundred thousand deaths that resulted, if there were such a thing as a god.

This is good. For a long time evangelical church members were discouraged from political involvement on the grounds that Christians shouldn’t be involved in “worldly affairs”. It was seen as analogous to polishing the brass on a sinking ship.

Good to see that more Christians are getting away from this kind of thinking.

Ben Carson’s rational descriptions attending Islam and its despicable ROOKS are spot on and unimpeachable.

Islam is out to oust US, sure as a New World Order covenant- ly employs their foul odor.
