Proof that many jobless are abusing our generosity

The State of Utah was tired of people drawing endless unemployment benefits at a time when 10 million vacant jobs went ignored. They required all long-term people receiving unemployment benefits to attend a class on how to look for a job or a class on job training.

The simple requirement of asking people to attend a class made 31% quit and jump off the unemployment program.

People forget that when large amounts of people collect jobless benefits it forces government to increase unemployment tax rates for working families to pay for the rise in costs and replenish the unemployment fund. Getting people off unemployment roles, who are abusing the system, helps saves taxes and costs for working people.
