Multnomah voter slump… 2nd worst turnout

The Secretary of State is reporting that Multnomah County has only 16.3% voter turn-out.  This is the second worst County in Oregon for turnout rate (Umatilla County is #1 at 13.8%. What gives Umatilla?)

Multnomah is 66% down from their 2020 Primary.

This is happening as Portland has one of the most consequential election races, Portland Commissioner, where candidates are running against Joann Hardesty the recognized face of Oregon’s defund the police and a highly controversial politician.

This could have an effect on statewide races like Labor Commissioner and Appeals Court Judge.
