OR, WA, CA report monkeypox cases involving kids

— OPB reports Oregon has its first monkeypox case involving a minor.

— Fox 13 reports a 17-year old in in Washington is the first case of monkeypox.  This has caused the Governor to issue new directives to stop the spread.

— ABC-News 7 reports two monkeypox cases involving minors in California.

 

Here is the total number of all monkeypox cases per state (primary adults) (Wikipedia August 17,2022)

 

Although cases among minors are rare, it is never too early to review how and how-not monkyepox is spread.
