The Legislature doled out billions more this budget cycle but seemed to leave out crime victims.

The Legislature did not renew funding for the non-profit that helps counsels crime victims called the Oregon Crime Victims Law Center.  The previous Legislature funded them by $1.27 million, nearly half of their budget (43%).

The government unions got $400 million in raises.

A rodeo got $1.9 million.

A Bend bicycle overpass got five million.

Various private pubs, music halls, festivals and art places got nearly $5 million.

Crime victims in this program received zero.

This shows you what politicians value.
