Oregon #8 most expensive state (chart)

This spring, Oregon was ranked as the 8th highest cost-of-living state in America according to the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center.

This is the high cost of Oregon’s high taxes and high red tape.  It has made life unbearable and is why families with children are leaving the state.

Higher than Oregon is Alaska and Hawaii which have higher costs because it is expensive for goods to be delivered as they cross long distances.  So, if you remove Hawaii and Alaska, Oregon would the 6th highest cost of living state.

Maybe passing the state’s largest tax in Oregon history (CAT Tax) in 2019 and having one of the nation’s highest labor costs (minimum wage, piad leave taxes, etc.) came at a huge cost to everyone that they pay such costs every single day.
