$350K for ‘Blobby’ Oregon’s unfunny, costly election mascot

Oregon taxpayers have paid $350,000 for an election public relations campaign that includes “Blobby” the election mascot.

The Secretary of State is spending this $350,000 at a time when there has been controversial turnover at both the Elections office and the Secretary of State’s office.

The Secretary of State is spending this $350,000 at a time when the Secretary of State is unable to process public records requests on elections.

The Secretary of State is spending this $350,000 at a time when their Corporation Division is not even open for a full business day and closed on Fridays.

Interestingly, as the Secretary of State promotes ads saying how they fixed the voter rolls from voters who have moved, a citizen left this complaint on Facebook:
