Voters forced to choose a Party? (not true)

The Urban League posted a Tweet saying you must join a political party in order to vote in Oregon.  This is either a typo or a common exaggeration arising from the dominance that the two traditional political party have in Oregon and America.  The biggest political affiliation in Oregon is no affiliation, also known as Non-Affiliated.

We issue this statement to keep people from feeling any pressure or obligation when they decide to become a voter.
