Poll shows how far Portland has fallen

Portland Metro Chamber released a poll showing how disaffected Portlanders have become over time.

The critical year of 2020 was when Portland defunded police, when the riots ran for 120 straight days (County AG dropped most riot charges) and when Portlanders came under several new crushing taxes (Multnomah Income Tax, Metro income/business tax, Portland gas tax, etc…).

Here is how Multnomah County compares to the neighboring counties.

Interestingly, during the pandemic the City, as most cities, saw a massive surplus of tax revenue for which the City spent lavishly on all kinds of  projects.   All of that tax spending could not make people happy when you abandon your core services of public safety, tolerate riots/open-drug use and over-tax your citizens.
