Too Impaired to Stand Trial, But Good Enough to be President

Special Counsel Robert Hur, appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate whether President Joe Biden removed, retained and shared classified documents prior to becoming President of the United States. The findings were explicit, detailed and fully supported by information and facts garnered during Mr. Hur’s investigation. According to CNN Mr. Hur noted:

“Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” the report stated, adding that Biden “is someone for whom many jurors will want to identify reasonable doubt.”

CNN then noted:

“We concluded that no criminal charges are warranted in this matter,” Hur determined in the report, which marks the conclusion of his investigation. “We would reach the same conclusion even if Department of Justice policy did not foreclose criminal charges against a sitting president.”

Mr. Hur’s report while thorough and accurate is disturbing. In essence, Mr. Hur determined that Mr. Biden was so cognitively infirmed that he was unlikely to be convicted despite the truth. That standing alone would not be remarkable given Mr. Biden declining cognitive skills. (It drives me crazy that most of the commentators in the media translated this to mean that Mr. Biden is too old – he is not. He is cognitively impaired and that is a condition that can occur at virtually any age with the same results.) But with Mr. Biden it has been progressive over a sustained period. In fact, Mr. Biden’s constant lies, plagiarism, self-aggrandizing stories and two-faced excuses have gone on so long it is difficult to tell when the lying stopped and that real cognitive decline began. But began it has and it has advanced to the point that Mr. Hur believes that Mr. Biden is unfit to stand trial. And yet while he is unfit for trial, he remains “fit” to be the President and Commander in Chief. Allegedly the most powerful man on earth with access to the nuclear codes that could destroy civilization several times over. I say allegedly because while the man or woman sitting as President of the United States has the capability of great power, no one with an IQ above room temperature would suggest that Mr. Biden exhibits those attributes.

But this anomaly will persist because the alternative is too harsh to seriously consider – the ascension of Vice-President Kalamata Harris as the successor pursuant to the Constitution. Mr. Biden may bolster is re-election prospects by dumping Ms. Harris during the Democratic National Nominating Convention but he will gain the ire of a substantial number of women and Blacks regardless of who he selects as his running mate. Let’s remembers that the responsibility for selecting Ms. Harris lies at the feet of former President Barack Obama who urged Mr. Biden to take her despite his desire to nominate Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI). According to The New York Post:

“President Biden knows full well Vice President Kamala Harris is ‘not up to the job’ of commander-in-chief — and he preferred Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer as his running mate in 2020 before caving to public pressure, according to a new book out Tuesday.

Biden chose Harris days before that year’s virtual Democratic National Convention after promising to select a woman and after pro-Harris lobbying from former President Barack Obama, veteran Washington journalist Charlie Spiering writes in his book ‘Amateur Hour: Kamala Harris in the White House.’”

It is Mr. Obama who is as responsible as anyone for the Hobson’s choice we now face. And it is as indicative as anything about the leadership of the Democrat Party when it turns its back on reality to further its fantasy about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). Democrats who dealt with Ms. Harris as a California state level when she was a sex-crimes prosecutor, grandstanding Attorney General, and paramour to the powerful Democrat Speaker of the the California House of Representatives, and those who dealt with her as a United States senator, know that Mr. Biden’s initial assessment of Ms. Harris was one hundred percent correct. But as always, Mr. Biden took the easy road and continued his unbroken pattern of wrong headed decisions. And like lemmings to the sea and sheep to the slaughter house, Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media have embraced, boosted and defended the selection. And even to this day, you can see the more moronic ones like Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski still demanding that we believe them rather than our own lying eyes.

Mr. Biden is a Democrat problem but the result effect us all. Voters this fall should remember that it isn’t Mr. Biden alone, or even Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris alone, that brought us this problem, it is Mr. Obama and the chorus line of Democrats that have foisted this nightmare on us.

But there is one last thing to think about and one that is missing from the debate concerning Mr. Biden’s ability to perform the duties of President of the United States. It is a problem with the Justice Department that has decided that regardless of the facts, it will not indict a sitting president. We’ll see how rigid that decision is should former President Donald Trump is elected to a second term.

Rest assured that such a policy will disappear like the early morning mist on a mountain lake.
