Thoughts on a Tumultuous Week

This past week has been a rarity in American politics and thank God for that. The undoing of President Joe Biden (D) and the failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump (R) were the low lights but the events surrounding each are now and should be for sometime discussed in the clear light of transparency. In succession please consider these points:

  1. Mr. Biden, following his disastrous debate performance against a subdued Mr. Trump, doubled, and then tripled down on a demonstration of an elderly man experiencing cognitive decline. His quickly arranged interview with long time Democrat operative and current ABC news commentator, George Stephanopoulus, was supposed to serve as a demonstration that his debate performance was an anomaly. It did not. Even though Mr. Biden was fully briefed on the questions to be asked, he did as he has been doing regularly over the past several years – mumbling, getting lost in his responses and trailing off to “anyway” or “whatever”, when he did, misidentifying people and resorting to campaign slogans rather than answers. It was not as bad as his debate performance but it was bad enough that those viewing were pretty well reassured that his debate performance was not an anomaly but rather an affirmation of cognitive decline. And finally, a “live” news conference again for the purposes of changing the narrative which started off well but in short order devolved into the same confusion, unrelated tales of his exploits, an unrelated temper outburst over the plight of women – and that is probably the end of the discussion over Mr. Biden’s fitness to serve another term, and perhaps his current term*. It was a disaster – plain and simple and the rats in his campaign and the Democrat Party, as well as the mainstream media who have covered for Mr. Biden all these years, began to stampede for the exits.

  2. The rats can fall into three categories: a) the mainstream media (CNN, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CBS, NPR, the New York Times, the Washington Post, etc. which I detailed on my column of two weeks ago entitled Biden in the Cold, Harsh Light of Reality), the Hollywood phonies led by George Clooney, Michael Douglas and Stephen King (you might include Rosie O’Donnell, Ashley Judd and Michael Moore but I doubt that more than a handful of people consider them Hollywood stars), and the political elites such as Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), James Carvill, and David Axelrod.

  3. But the biggest rat of all is former President Barack Obama who is quietly urging others to push Mr. Biden out. Let’s be perfectly clear here, Mr. Obama is the direct cause of the mess in which we find ourselves. He picked Mr. Biden to be his running because Mr. Biden was not a threat to any independent thinking or opinions nor was he likely to overshadow the deeply conceited Mr. Obama. Mr. Obama was the one who turned a blind eye towards Mr. Biden’s corruption of the Office of Vice-President which now haunts Mr. Biden and his son. Mr. Obama demanded that Mr. Biden choose Vice-president Kalamata Harris as his running mate knowing full well that she lacked the capabilities of being Vice-president and, even more so, President. Mr. Obama is now pushing to have Ms. Harris lead the Democrat ticket if he is successful in pushing Mr. Biden and out giving rise to speculation that having served eight years, overseeing Mr. Biden’s four years, Mr. Obama is interested in controlling the presidency for another eight years through Ms. Harris knowing full well that she will have to turn to him for the decision making that she is incapable of doing herself. Ms. Harris is Exhibit A in the failures of DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) – a woman chosen because of her gender, her racial identity and her ethnicity without the slightest review of her competency, although it was there for all to see prior to and at the moment of choosing.

  4. In the aftermath of the attempted assassination of Mr. Trump, Mr. Biden, reading from his teleprompter, went on the airways with a “heartfelt” request that both parties soften the rhetoric noting that violence has no business in American politics. And all the while that he was reading the words written for him he studiously avoided recognition of his own culpability in fueling the hatred towards Mr. Trump. And more importantly, the cameras had barely cooled when Mr. Biden’s advocates were labeling Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Mr. Trump’s just announced running mate, as an extremist unfit for public service. It makes one wonder if Mr. Biden even knows, or more importantly cares, what he is reading from the teleprompter. In subsequent interviews, Mr. Biden has denied any responsibility for the heated political atmosphere claiming that he does not engage in such rhetoric – even after his previous comments and allegations are read back to him. You can blame his diminishing cognitive state, but in reality it is just a continuation of his lying to take credit where none is due, and avoid responsibility when is clearly falls upon his shoulders. Mr. Biden is a sympathetic figure as we are forced to watch his descent into senility, but he is still a liar and a dirtbag.

And finally we are left to the corrupt Federal Bureau of Investigation and the barely able leadership of the Secret Service to investigate and provide a cogent explanation of what went wrong , who is responsible, and the heads that must roll. However, rather than to that they will join with the corrupt Central Intelligence Agency to riddle the investigation with conspiracies theories and hints of foreign involvement to avoid accepting any responsibility. When the report is issued, we will be no closer to the truth than we were in the immediate aftermath.

And that is the principle reason for re-electing Mr. Trump – to clean the swamp once and for all.
