A fire in an RV at a homeless encampment spread to Pacific Power equipment and knocked out electricity to more than 10,000 people in East Portland the last week of August. The fire started at the camp in the 100 block of Northeast 100th Avenue, according to Portland Fire and Rescue. PacifiCorp de-energized lines to protect firefighters and re-energized them after checking equipment for damage.

Days after a second homeless fire caught an apartment on fire.
