This needed to be said.

The Oregonian featured a quote by Sgt. Aaron Schmautz, head of the Portland police union who said, “Keith Wilson is a deeply unserious human being and everything he is saying is based on some warped view of reality,”

This was in reply to Portland Mayor candidate’s Keith Wilson pledge to reduce all street homeless, all homeless campers and homeless vehicle sleeping by 100% in just a single year.

Wilson says in The Oregonian article that the big secret to solving homelessness is to perpetually keep asking them to move into a shelter and eventually they all will.  Heroin addicts, street criminals and mentally abused people just need more asks for help according to Keith Wilson.

Anytime politicians say they will magically reduce poverty 100% or eliminate hunger in America, it usually is followed by bad ideas and high taxes.
