Bankrupt PSU hires ex-Congressman (lays off 89)

NW and national radio host,

How can a major NW university be in this much money trouble and still have cash to hire a washed up former Congressman for a do-nothing job?

Consider that layoff notices went out to 90 faculty members this week.

It cost 1.2 million dollars to repair the damage done by Hamas terrorism protestors in the Spring of this year.

PSU President Ann Cudd seemed satisfied to let the destruction happen without intervening.

The destruction, tolerated by Cudd and Company, interrupted the education of thousands of students.

And if you wonder why PSU falls 18 million dollars short of making budget, the explanation is easy.

Salaries and benefits are up to accommodate the record Bidenomics inflation America has suffered…and student enrollment is down.

Are you surprised?

Would you send your son or daughter to a school that lets supporters of terrorists take over the campus?

Meanwhile, even 18 million bucks short, PSU found a six-figure salary for Earl Blumenauer.

Earl’s major accomplishment in life seems to have been collecting public paychecks for half a century at the legislature, the county, the city, the congress and now PSU.

Public disclosures required of Congressmen show his net worth near 13 million bucks…all on the lowly paycheck of a public servant.

Go figure.

That’s the Rose City Rap. Join me at noon on KXL for First Amendment Friday. I’m Lars Larson
