SALEM, Ore – House Republican Leader Jeff Helfrich (R-Hood River) issued the following statement after the 2024 election.

“The election results send a clear message: voters want lawmakers who can work across the aisle while standing firm on fiscal issues. We look forward to partnering with our colleagues on both sides of the aisle on bipartisan solutions to tackle our state’s challenges, but House Republicans will also serve as a crucial check against unnecessary tax increases. In the last session we made critical investments in infrastructure and made history as we recriminalized drugs. But there’s more work to be done. We will continue to fight for our families, our small businesses, and our communities across Oregon. Together, we’ve proven that good government means getting things done, and that’s exactly what House Republicans will keep doing,” said Leader Helfrich.
