Oregon’s top graffiti vandal (re)arrested

One of Portland’s most wanted graffiti criminals, James Fischell, 40, was re-arrested this week.

He was previously arrested months prior for illegally growing 80-pounds of marijuana.

This is what an 80-pound marijuana haul looks like for comparison.

This just shows the revolving door of arrested criminals who end up back on the streets.

This guy’s house was raided previously, which had a stockpile of 1,500 spray cans (for which he resold to other vandals).

Removing graffiti has costed both Portland and the State nearly ten million dollars in extra costs.

The illegal marijuana farm industry that James’ produced has contributed to the wrecking of the legal market in Oregon and the proliferation of the illegal market which is tied to other crimes — local theft rings, tax evasion, gang shootings, auto theft, and selling drugs to minors in our schools.  It is important to put criminals behind bars where they can’t engage in their parade of criminality.
