9 unique fire photos tell a deeper story

– The above photo shows how a bulldozer was used to clear abandoned vehicles in the middle of the road.  The fact that many false evacuation phone alerts were sent caused many people to stay at home and ignore the real ones that came in later.  This caused a major traffic jam on the roads forcing people to leave their vehicles on foot.

 

– This man was caught with a blow torch setting things on fire in the area.

– This photo shows how natural gas lines in neighborhoods were not shut off by utilities.  As homes burned the gas pipes kept burning.  The video from this photos shows all the neighboring houses with burning gas pipes.

 

– This before and after photo from SkyNews shows how a concrete building in the middle of a town can be gutted out by fire.

 

– Top anchor, ABC’s David Muir, spotted with clothes pin on the back of his firefighter jacket to make it appear slimmer.

 

 

 

– Caught on video by Fox News local 11, is a very rare fire tornado in Palisades.

 

 

– Evacuating large farm animals was a challenge for this family who walked their horses through a burning town.

 

– This is an important aerial photo that shows the empty 117-million gallon Palisades Pacific reservoir which played a role in firemen not having access to water.

 

An entire parking lot full of donated items — bottled water, bedding and clothes.   This amazing display of generosity was started by a social media call.
