State Legislature website makes rare honors — Hon. Courtney

The Official Oregon State Legislative Website made rare honors by putting a rememberance and link to the Capitol Celebration of Life on the front page.

As seen, they honored him for being Oregon’s longest serving lawmaker.  He was in office from 1981 to 2023.

Although we do not encourage other political office holders to aspire to serve 42 years in the relative same Legislative office, we do offer our hat tip to those Senator Courtney across-the-aisle moments that helped us and others in the Capitol.
