Former Oregon Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer is approaching the time to testify before Congress. KGW reported that the U.S. Senate has scheduled the hearing for Wednesday, February 12th. The former congresswoman has been nominated for the position of Labor Secretary. This nomination is particularly noteworthy as one of the most significant labor unions, the Teamsters, publicly supports her as a top candidate, with Teamsters President Sean O’Brien backing her.
