A refreshing quote form the newly elected Portland City Council President (yes, they have a President now under the new system) Elana Pirtle-Guiney.

In editorial, Elana Pirtle-Guiney stated, “Yes, we need to seriously consider the repercussions of high taxes that fund underperforming services.”

For Portland’s highest ranking City Councilor to admit taxes are high and that the City doesn’t provide quality services is a long overdue admission.
