Today, Representatives Darin Harbick (R-Rainbow), Ed Diehl (R-Stayton), Virgle Osborne (R-Roseburg), Court Boice (R-Gold Beach), Alek Skarlatos (R-Winston), and Dwayne Yunker (R-Grants Pass) released the following statement after Senate Bill 83 a bill which would repeal the wildfire maps was scheduled for a work session in the Senate Natural Resources and Wildfire Committee for Tuesday, April 8th.

Thousands of rural Oregonians are demanding a full repeal of the wildfire maps. House Republicans have led the fight to repeal these maps since the start of this session by introducing HB 3944. We’re happy to see that there is now some bipartisan agreement on this issue. SB 83 is poised to deliver. We urge passage in the Senate and stand ready to work on it in the House.
