Eugene wants the rest of Oregon taxpayers to build them a (critical-government-service) pickle ball court to the tune of millions of dollars.  The goal is to steer three million in tax funding for a Eugene pickle ball court along with millions in private funding.  They have raised over a million from local taxes and are now asking the State Government for a $1.5 million cash grab from State Legislators according to their testimony and requests over HB 5006.

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek loves pickle ball as seen in this Willamette Week photo.

No word on Harney County or Coos County taxpayers if they will be able to play pickle ball for free for the court that their tax dollars have paid for.

Already, nearly $0 million in tax dollars have gone to support a single minor league baseball team  in Oregon — the Hillsboro Hops.
