Legislature grinds down. Bills stop. Senate leaving early.

There are so few bills being passed out of the Oregon House that the Senate is sending their Senators home early these days because there is no work to do (until the next day).

That’s correct, the Senate has been closing down early on many days because there is nothing to do.

This is happening when the same Legislature made headlines by submitting a record number of Legislative Bills.

Those record number of bills caused lawmakers to ramrod the public with rushed hearings where the publci was often denied a chance to speak because there was not enough time..

Look at the flood of 36 bills that had a ramrod hearing in just a few hours last April.

So we have a liberal-led Legislature that gives the public hasty hearings where they are locked out from testifying  … and we now have dead-stop/nothing-to-do days where the Senate goes home.

Go figure.
