Lars Larson: Klepto Kotek to kill the Kicker

Tina Kotek wants to raid your Oregon tax kicker.

The Governor elected on stolen cash from an illegal campaign contribution now wants to steal your income taxes .

Remember that Oregon voters chose to put the kicker law in the state Constitution because they knew what conniving shysters like Kotek would do.

The kicker rule says simply when the state writes a budget for the next two years, they may fund it from taxes…but if they collect more than expected, then the extra dollars go back to citizens.

Democrats now hold a majority nearly big enough in the state House and Senate to override constitutional protections and take your money.

How can Kotek defend this theft?

She has mismanaged forests in Oregon so badly they burn every summer.

Putting out those fires consumes lots of cash.

Funny thing: last year’s wildfire bill hit 350-million…but even if you assume two years of extraordinary fires, it don’t add up to 1 billion.

Think of it like that moment when your teenager tells you she needs lunch money and asks for $50 bucks. Like that!

Today Tina Kotek promises, cross her heart, she’s only going to take the one billion dollars just this one time.

Is anyone really dumb enough to trust a promise like that?
