We did it! 1,511 oppositions to gas/road tax!

Last week, just 48 hours before the deadline, the Taxpayers Association put out an appeal to reach 1,000 online testimonies against the 11 taxes behind the new $2 billion in new annual annual gas/road taxes bill House Bill 2505.

Our alert was sent when some 700+ opposition testimonies were already registered and there was less than 48 hours before the deadline would block anymore online testimonies to the Capitol.  The public responded by doubling the outpouring!   In just 48 hours!

We know, that other noble groups were sounding the alarm at the same time, so it is a genuine grassroots outrage we are witnessing.

It is also a moment to step away from the urgency and alarm and recognize a true victorious moment we and everyone had.   Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of the everyday Oregon taxpayers who played a role in helping us reach 1,511 opposition testimonies.
