Why the liberal Twitter alternative flopped (chart)

After Elon Musk acquired Twitter, now X, many liberals boycotted the new site and instead rallied behind a new Twitter alternative called Blue Sky.   Both politicians and Left-leaning Hollywood celebrities cancelled their long-time X accounts and made high-profile moves to Blue Sky.   Some of those celebrities are Lizzo, Barbra Streisand, Jamie Lee Curtis, Joy Reid, Mark Cuban, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, John Cusack, Ben Stiller, Flavor Flav, Chuck D,  Mark Hamill, Keith Olbermann and Stephen King.  Blue Sky boasted one million new members during the big switch.

As Blue Sky grew in size, so did the amount of cancel culture within the site.  It became a hot bed of in-fighting and political purity purgings.  As a result their numbers have since shrunk (chart above).  Celebrities who have moved to the site have found it intolerable and have since re-opened their X accounts.  NBA owner and TV star, Mark Cuban, left saying Bluesky has “grown ruder and more hateful” and “Even if you agree with 95% of what a person is saying on a topic, if there is one point that you might call out as being more of a gray area, they will call you a fascist etc.”   Following Mark Cuban, have been Stephen King, Keith Olbermann and Mark Hamill who returned to X despite vowing never to go back.

The future of far Left politics is self-destruction.
