The Remarkable Donald J. Trump: President of the United States

President Donald J. Trump just returned from a triumphant tour de force dealing with the decades old misery, treachery, murder and war that defined the Middle East and the relationship between Israel and its Arab and Muslim neighbors. It was a stunning accomplishment made possible by a man who, for his whole life, never accepted the limitations of “conventional wisdom.”

In this instance the conventional wisdom was that nothing could be done to resolve the Middle East conflicts – the conflicts between the Muslim/Arab world and Israel, the conflicts between the Shia Muslims and the Sunni Muslims and the conflict between tribalism and nationalism within the various countries. Turns out that “the conventional wisdom” was just an excuse by politicians who were incapable of any diplomatic thinking that didn’t originate in the halls of Yale by academicians who were clueless as to how things worked in the real world.

Worst among them were former President Barack Obama who, like Neville Chamberlain, believed that appeasement of the terrorists in Gaza and their overlords in Iran was the best solution for keeping the simmering radical rage from pouring over – he was wrong as he was on virtually every other foreign affairs issue during his tenure. As a result he enriched the mullahs of Iran with billions of dollars who promptly spent it on increasing aid to their proxy terrorist armies – including those in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and multiple hot spots in Africa. But Mr. Obama held tight and kept pushing the same failed policies over and over and adding to it by constantly stabbing Israel in the back. If there was a worse leader in the conduct of international affairs Mr. Obama found it in Joe Biden – the man he said he chose for his running mate because of “expertise” in international affairs. In actuality Joe* was dumber than a bag of hammers and his only “expertise” was found in the rules of the United State Senate which rewarded longevity rather than demonstrated expertise. For his entire fifty years in Congress Joe’s singular accomplishments were picking up his paycheck each week and opening the door for his families fraud and corruption. Joe has never had an original thought in his life and thus “the conventional wisdom” was his bread and butter for justifying doing nothing.

Mr. Trump on the other hand was never bothered by “conventional wisdom.” He performed his own diagnosis of the problem and applied his penchant for creating winners** for everyone in deals. Quite frankly that requires a certain genius found in highly successful men and women in private enterprise. But it is a genius that is almost universally lacking in career politicians and government bureaucrats. Mr. Trump found a plausible solution by ignoring the conventional wisdom and focusing on the means by which everyone involved could become a winner. In doing so, Mr. Trump has earned a page in history. And by example has suggested that career politicians should be banned from executive offices simply because they lack the curiosity to find solutions for complex problems and the savoir faire to implement those solutions.

So thank you Mr. President even though the politicians and their publicists in the mainstream media won’t. And former Mr. Obama and Joe (and all of your toadies), you should hang your heads in shame.

* In writing this column I have generally bowed to the good manners of referring to elected officers by their title or the generic respect of Mr., Mrs. or Ms. The exception was Kalamata Harris who undeniable lacked the skill and intelligence necessary to serve in any public office and thus she demonstrated that she was fully unworthy of any title of respect for the office she held. Likewise Joe Biden, although he held a certificate of election as President of the United States, he never actually performed the duties of the office – first as the stupidest person ever elected followed by his rapid cognitive decline. As such Joe is wholly unworthy of the respect that one normally has for a President. Mr. Trump as a joke replaced Joe’s picture in the White House gallery with a picture of the autopen that actually performed presidential duties in lieu of Joe. While a sad tribute,  it is a far more accurate depiction of Mr. Trump’s predecessor than Joe’s portrait.

** In some instances, a participant became a “winner” by simply not losing as much as they were insistent on doing. That was the case with Hamas in Gaza – a chance to cut their loses. And that may well be how the terrorists running Iran become “winners” also.
