Taxpayers Association of Oregon urges No on Measure 3-629

VOTE NO ON THE WEST LINN-WILSONVILLE BAILOUT BOND MEASURE 3-629

The West Linn-Wilsonville School District can’t manage money.

The district is cutting $15 million from its budget and firing staff because fewer students are enrolled. Yet they’re asking taxpayers for a massive $190 million bond.

This makes no sense. Why should taxpayers approve nearly $200 million in new debt for a district that can’t balance its daily budget?

Worse, the bond is a blank check for vague promises like “stewardship” and “wellness,” with no real plan for how the money gets spent.

The district needs to fix its spending problem and match costs to its shrinking student count before asking taxpayers for more long-term debt.

Don’t reward bad management. VOTE NO on West Linn-Wilsonville School District’s Measure 3-629.
