This is how they lampoon Portland … and it isn’t fair

The above meme was popular on national comedic websites.

Or the public sees people dressed in inflatable bunny suits kicking tear gas at Federal agents.

Or this:

In a way this is not fair to the everyday Portlanders who are not part of the circus.

Yet, when the media showcases inflatable protesters at the ICE protest, they think they are making President Trump look bad for calling Portland “lawless”, but in reality they begin to make Portland look off-balanced.

Same with how elected officials describe what Portland is famous for and then begin to list the Naked Bike Ride or our marijuana businesses as opposed to our famous restaurants and famous businesses like Powell’s Books, Columbia Sportswear, Salt/Straw.   Portland is doubling down on weird, and they kinda need to sober up a bit.

Our elected officials in Portland have blamed Fox News for their bad publicity.  Yet, the path to getting out of this bad branding starts with Portland itself.
