The Ways of Intersectionality

Have you ever heard of Kimberle Crenshaw? No cheating. I mean have you ever heard of Kimberle Crenshaw without first looking it up? Me neither. How about intersectionality? Yes? Me too – ad nauseam. Well, it doesn’t mean anything since it wasn’t a word until Ms. Crenshaw made it up. It is like its distant cousin be-bop-a-lulu. It meant nothing but was just a rhythmic verse that provided words that sounded much like the music for which it was meant.

In this case it was invented to provide what was supposed to sound like intellectual support for a bogus race baiting theory – critical race theory (CRT). That’s it. Pure and simple. It doesn’t mean anything but it sounds important – sounds learned or logically based. It’s not. It is just a continuation of the woeful habit of the left wing of the Democrat Party to parse words to enhance or negate something which they support or oppose respectively. It’s not new. It’s been going on for quite some time.

The Democrat Party has long had a superior ability to identify the problems of middle America. Their problem is that they don’t know how to fix any of them except to throw more money at it. The Republicans, on the other hand, have a tin ear when it comes to identifying the problems of middle America. However, when given a chance, the Republicans – at least the conservative elements of the Republican Party – know how to solve the problems. It’s just that their solutions require hard work, shared sacrifice and accountability – about the opposite of the Democrats who require only a plan to tax the rich (actually the middle class and above) and give some of it to the poor.

But the left wing of the Democrat Party also has an annoying habit of changing the identity of the problem rather than attempting to solve it. It is why when reference to the Liberal wing of the party became so distasteful*, they became Progressives. They didn’t change their policies or their leadership or their direction – just their reference. In the same fashion we watched while the term illegal aliens – the term used in the United State Code – went from illegal aliens to illegal immigrants, to undocumented workers, to undocumented migrants to God knows what it is this week. The Democrats didn’t have a solution so they tried parsing the English language to dampen the real character of the offense – illegal entry of aliens. And nowhere in their efforts did they seek to hold anyone responsible for the surge of 20-30 million illegal aliens.

It’s why global warming became climate change. You see, the globe was not warming even using the standards of the liberals/progressives but the climate is always changing. It’s why recycling programs became sustainability initiatives regardless of the fact that little changed in either the practice or the results since the changed reference. And the list goes on forever – always a change without addressing the root causes.

It is also why you are seeing the Democrat Party migrating from Liberal to Progressive to Socialist with absolutely no change in policy or practice. Had the mainstream media been on its toes it would have called those who offered this gibberish early on, we could have been working on the problem rather than chasing our tails over the label.

Think about this the next time one of these morons tries something as ludicrous as intersectionality, and know that its genesis was likely that which drop on the ground of the feedlots in Montana. It’s just that those of us from Montana call it what it is.
