During the 2025 Legislature, there were 15 major tax threats.   Each of these tax threats had a public hearing and organizational support.  The Taxpayers Association of Oregon was involved in opposing all 15 of these tax threats.  Some of the tax threats ($122 million Google tax, Kicker theft, etc.) it was the Taxpayers Association as among the few who spoke out against them.

We defeated the 2025 Legislature gas tax (HB 2025) only to have it re-surface in a September Legislative Session as HB 3991.  Even though it passed, Jason Williams of the Taxpayers Association was among the three chief petitioners (Senator Bruce Starr, Representative Ed Diehl) who launched the campaign to force the issue to go to the ballot.   In a way, the Tapxyaers Association was involved in defeating this gas tax bill twice!!!!
