Kotek’s falling legacy in 3 facts

These three facts spell trouble for Kotek’s legacy and her future.

#1. The fact that nearly a quarter-million people signed a referendum petition to stop her $4.3 billion gas tax is a public outrage moment that will not easily be fixed or forgotten.

#2. The fact that a third of Oregon counties voted to approve studying leaving Oregon to join Idaho is a sign that Governor Kotek has lost rural Oregon.   Even worse, Kotek has offered nothing to rural Oregon to help since those votes were taken.  Kotek has offered taxes and fees and regulations (including a terrible farm-stand rule that was roundly condemned by the Ag community and quickly pulled back by Kotek).

#3. The fact that two back-to-back Mornign Consult national polls showed that Governor Kotek is the least liked (approved) governor in America by their own citizens.   Kotek has big negatives and big undecideds.  The public has not been approving what she has been doing.
