With a rash of votes at the last minute in December, we now have some good voting records for the Oregon Congressional Delegation.

Senate #5 :Laken Riley Act: Mandates the detention, without bond, of non-citizens[1] who are arrested for, charged with, or admit to committing certain crimes, including theft, burglary, larceny, shoplifting, assault on a law enforcement officer, or any crime resulting in death or serious bodily injury.

HR#1: Big Beautiful Bill. Includes 14 tax cuts including income tax cuts across all brackets (lower income taxpayers received a greater rate cut than higher income), no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, a senior tax cuts, and business tax cuts.

HR 4776: SPEED ACT: This speeds up Federal permitting by helping to codify the Supreme Court decision by requiring plaintiffs to show “direct harm” when stopping Federal work projects (mining, nuclear power, pipelines).

HR 845:It Removes federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) protections for gray wolves in the lower 48 states, as gray wolves have caused constant damage to livestock and rural pets.

HR 3616: Creates a protective process for when one state begins removing a critical power plant that directly impacts neighboring states electricity sources.

HR 719 was s simple memorial to honor the murdered Charlie Kirk. All five of Oregon’s Democrat members voted “Present”. Yet, when it came to vote on the memorial honoring two Democrat lawmakers in Minnesota who were murdered (HR 519) these same lawmakers voted yes and so did Congressman Cliff Bentz. This vote shows that liberal Democrats appear to only honor a crime victim based upon their party registration.
