Nice to hear a “mea culpa” from an Oregon official, even if it only comes after threats of legal action by Judicial Watch and America’s federal government.

Secretary of State Tobias Read admits Oregon’s filthy voting system needs a thorough cleaning.

How much to clean up?

How about 800-thousand faulty voter registrations.

The state counts about 3 million voters on its rolls, but more than a quarter of those don’t belong to people who actually cast ballots.

The crazy system of automatic voter registration signs everyone up for a ballot even if they never vote.

Hundreds of thousands of those registered have not voted in almost a decade.

That’s a big problem.

Oregon’s vote by mail system means anyone registered CAN get a ballot. It’s sent out in the mail with no chain of custody.

You don’t have any idea WHO marks that ballot when it comes back at election time.

Even former President Jimmy Carter thought voter by mail was (quote) “the largest source of potential voter fraud”.

I’m happy to see SOS Tobias Read finally clean THAT up, even if it only came after Donald Trump pushed him to do it.
