Lars Larson: Oregon broke the law with $$ for strikers

NW and national radio host,

The Northwest Nonsense

It turns out the democrat plans in Oregon and Washington to reward striking workers with unemployment cash has a fatal flaw.

I’ve pointed this out since they first started talking about extending unemployment to striking workers to keep the democrats union donor friends happy;

To get unemployment you must be;

Involuntarily out of a job…so, strikers don’t qualify

Looking for a new job…so, strikers don’t qualify

Now, the hated Trump administration has put Oregon on notice…if strikers ain’t looking for a new job…then they’re not qualified.

Since it’s a state program, so what?

Well, the federal government pays Oregon more than a hundred million dollars a year for the bureaucrats that RUN unemployment. That goes away.

Businesses could lose half a BILLION bucks in tax credits on federal taxes which pay for unemployment.

Oregon officials claim they’ve found a cheat to get around the rules, but we’ve seen how those cheats often fall apart when challenged.

If you wonder why Oregon’s economy is in free fall and companies are fleeing from the state…this is the kind of nonsense that makes it happen.

That’s the Rose City Rap. Join me at noon on KXL for First Amendment Friday. I’m Lars Larson
