Hoyle’s scandals and obsession with radical politics spark backlash as voters rally behind DeSpain’s bold, commonsense leadership in Oregon’s Fourth District

Eugene, OR — Today, Oregon’s 4th Congressional District candidate, retired Air Force Colonel Monique DeSpain, announced blockbuster fourth quarter 2025 fundraising results of $395,000 across all entities, in a historically brutal quarter to raise money. Meanwhile, radical incumbent Val Hoyle reported a dismal $134,335 in Q4, according to the official FEC website – making DeSpain one of the only challengers in the country to outraise their incumbent opponent.

“Despite a tough year-end fundraising climate, our campaign raised nearly $400,000 from 1,100 grassroots donors across every corner of Oregon’s Fourth District—amassing nearly three times Congresswoman Hoyle’s anemic $134,000 and returning the national spotlight on this race in Oregon’s Fourth Congressional District,” said Monique DeSpain. “The momentum is undeniable. Voters are ready for change — they are done with sending divisive, corrupt career politicians like Val Hoyle to a broken Washington, D.C., and are ready for bold, commonsense leadership to deliver Oregon’s comeback. That moment is here— it’s real, and it’s powerful.”

“With 89% of our donations coming from within Oregon, the hard-working men and women of the Fourth District are making it clear: they want a political outsider like me who will take on the corrupt elites and radical special interests choking and crippling Washington D.C. and Oregon,” said DeSpain. “After 30 years of service as a U.S. Air Force Colonel, I’m ready to fight for what matters most—safe neighborhoods, a secure border, a thriving and affordable economy, and a government that’s finally transparent, accountable, and stops funding failure.”
