Lars Larson: My take on end of Session

By Lars Larson
NW and national radio host,

Democrats are working hard to put a smiley face on the legislative session that wrapped Friday night.

Senate Majority Leader Kayse Jama declared, “Oregonians sent us here to stand up for them” “This session, we worked hard to do exactly that.”

Now, that’s the PR spin.  What actually happened?

While President Trump got tax cuts expanded and extended…Democrats who control both houses of the legislature gutted those tax cuts by hundreds of millions.

A ban on gun buying that barely passed the voters because it’s unconstitutional made worse by the legislature’s actions.

And the big daddy of anti-democratic action, moving a vote on Oregon’s multi-billion dollar tax hike to fund ODOT.

Voters wanted the vote in November with maximum turnout by citizens.  The Democrat party moved it to May so democracy could be held to a minimum.

Just remember all of those anti-citizen actions when you consider Tina Kotek’s re-election plan.

This Governor is so bad that even her friends in the teacher’s labor union and the working families party refuse to endorse her this year.

That’s the Rose City Rap.  Join me at noon on KXL for 4 hours of Honestly provocative talk.  I’m Lars Larson
