60 human trafficking arrests in past few months

The Portland Police Bureau’s Human Trafficking Unit, working with local, state, and federal partners, conducted focused patrols along Northeast 82nd Avenue and Sandy Boulevard targeting sex trafficking rings. Between January and February, 14 individuals were arrested.

In the same area, last October, 26 men were arrested for human trafficking.

The month before that, 20 men were arrested for human trafficking.

Last month, a Portland man was convicted of human trafficking three teenagers.

HTU continues trauma-informed outreach, prioritizing victim protection while investigating traffickers and buyers.
