Lars Larson: How Diehl can pull it off

The Northwest Nonsense

Oregon’s last Republican Governor walked out of office 39 and a-half years ago.

This might just be the year voters get some sensible management for the state.

But how will Republican Governor Ed Diehl get things done with a legislature dominated by two-thirds majorities?

Simple. He uses the same tool Governor Schwarzenegger used in California 20 years ago.

Tell the Democrats he’s willing to negotiate solutions. If they refuse to play ball, he goes straight to the voters.

The Slavery Party has already seen what happens when you vote against the best interests of citizens and pass massive new taxes.

A quick referral to the people that only took 38 days and bodes almost certain defeat at the polls. That scared democrats so much they illegally moved the vote from November to May.

Governor Ed Diehl can lay out that same threat to Democrat Party lawmakers.

Do the things Oregon needs…like lower taxes and less government for more jobs and housing, enforce the laws to solve drugs and homelessness.

Or risk a trip to the ballot box woodshed where voters will happily deliver the spanking democrats have deserved for so long.

That’s the Rose City Rap. Join me at noon on KXL for 4 hours of Honestly provocative talk. I’m Lars Larson
