Lars Larson: Why Oregon sees no threat in 86 4 47

Tina Kotek’s DMV agency issued a custom license plate that threatens the life of President Trump…only DMV insists no such threat exists.

Let me explain.

Just over a week ago, a grand jury made up of average citizens handed up two federal felony indictments against disgraced former FBI director James Comey.

May of last year, Comey, fired by President Trump from his job, posted a picture of seashells spelling out 86 47.

The grand jurors saw a threat to hurt or kill the President in that.

That’s a federal crime.

Last December, Oregon DMV issued a custom vanity license plate with the message

86 4 47.

A Loyal Lars listener sent me a picture of that car.

DMV refuses to identify the driver so I could ask him what he means by it.

DMV routinely refuses literally hundreds of custom plates for threatening, drug or sexual messages.

Spokeswoman Chris Crabb explains that DMV saw no threat at all in 86 4 47.

Am I surprised? Not a bit. Some of my listener may test them by applying for “86 Libs” to see what happens.

If the owner of the black Honda Fit wearing 86 4 47 wants to come on my talk show and explain its completely innocent meaning, all he has to do is call or email, talk at lars larson.com

That’s the Rose City Rap. Join me at noon on KXL for 4 hours of Honestly provocative talk. I’m Lars Larson
